Medicare is health insurance for people 65 and older, and some people under 65 if they have been declared disabled (SSDI), have Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS), or have End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). 1. What is the cost to you having an insurance broker?

Our services are no cost to you, the client.  We get paid from the insurance carrier at no additional fee to you.  The rates you get from an independent broker are the same rates you get directly from the insurance company.

2. What is the difference between Medicare & Medicaid?

Medicare is federal health insurance for anyone age 65 and older and some people under 65 with certain disabilities or conditions. Medicaid is a joint federal and state program that provides health coverage for some people with limited income and resources.  Medicaid offers benefits, like nursing home care, personal care services, and assistance paying for Medicare premiums and other costs. Some people qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid.

3. What is Part A?

Part A (Hospital Insurance): Helps cover inpatient care in hospitals, skilled nursing facility care, hospice care, and home health care.

4. What is Part B?

Part B (Medical Insurance): Helps cover: Services from doctors and other health care providers; Outpatient care; Home health care; Durable medical equipment (like wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, and other equipment); Many preventive services (like screenings, shots or

7. If I’m ready to enroll in Part A and Part B, where do I go to fill out the application?

You can fill out the application through the social security website: https://www.ssa.gov/benefits/medicare/ and then click “Apply for MedicareOnly”

8. Do I have to choose the same plan as my spouse?

No, Medicare is different from private insurance — it doesn’t offer plans for couples or families. You don’t have to make the same choice as your spouse
